Approach Chart's Favorite List for FltPlan.com Android Users
In the latest update to our Android App, version 2.5.5, we've simplified the task of viewing approach charts. With our new feature, users can place airports of an upcoming flight plan or trip into one list for quick viewing. For example, if you are traveling from an airport in one state and landing at an airport in another, you would typically have to navigate from one list to another. Our Favorites list simplifies this rather cumbersome task, by allowing you to place any downloaded airport into one common list.

If you are not already familiar with our Android App, we offer seven unparalleled aviation tools for our users with Android Powered devices. To download our app you can visit the Google Play Android Market from your phone/tablet, and search for "FltPlan".
The app is also available for the Kindle Fire. Visit Amazon's Appstore for Android for more information.
With the FltPlan.com Mobile App, you can save your username and password for quick access to your FltPlan.com Account Page. Also, you can request, store, and download weather briefings for airports and enroute. Downloaded weather briefings are available offline. Whether you are a FltPlan.com FltTracking customer, or just a basic user, you can view tracking information for an aircraft and store up to eight aircraft N-numbers for one-click viewing. Another great feature of the app is the ability to download and view NavLogs and Wx Briefings. The NavLog is in the same great FltPlan.com format that you're familiar with.
With our Approach Chart and digital-A/FD features, you can download airports, states and regions (Canadian Provinces available for Approach Chart feature only). Charts and Pages are downloaded in a high-quality PDF format for easy reading. Our app also offers a feature called the FltDeck Guide. The FDG must be downloaded to be used. Once configured, you have a wealth of information and airport diagrams for over 6,000 airports (not limited to U.S. and Canada!) entirely offline. Look up frequencies, airport numbers and airport FBO information with a few clicks.
For more detailed information on our App, please visit the FltPlan.com Information & Help Guide Page. http://imageserver.fltplan.com/android/index.htm

FltPlan.com and Corporate Angel Network:
Your empty seat can help a cancer patient

FltPlan.com users now have the option of making their schedules available to Corporate Angel Network (CAN), the non-profit organization that arranges free air transportation for cancer patients who need to travel for specialized treatment. After registering with CAN, FltPlan.com users can select the flights they want to make available, and the schedule is automatically sent to CAN's secure data base. CAN then looks for possible matches with their patients' requests.
One FltPlan.com user was able to fly a cancer patient from Atlanta to Morristown, NJ for special tests. Another FltPlan user was able to help a cancer patient on a particularly challenging route from Medford, OR to Missoula, MT. With FltPlan.com's help, the empty seats on aircraft can continue to help ease the burden of cancer patients all over the country.

New Enhancement to the iPad App
We are excited to announce a new feature of our free FltPlan.com iPad app. With this latest update, you can edit a flight plan route directly from your iPad, while online or offline. The ability to edit routes offline allows you to update your route in flight based on ATC clearances or re-routes, making the app even more valuable.
In addition to this new feature, the app continues to include Maps & Routes, Navigational Logs, FAA Certified Weather, Approach Charts, A/FDs (Airport Facility Directories), our FltDeck Guide (Airport and FBO information), and our Scratch Pad+. Please view the following video tutorial for a brief demonstration of all these great features.

FltPlan.com New Enhancement - Document Storage
FltPlan.com is pleased to announce our latest enhancement to our flight planning program. You can now upload, store, and retrieve up to 10mb of documents, free of charge, in your FltPlan.com account.
This is a great tool for uploading checklists, receipts, trip sheets etc. Most file formats are accepted including .doc, docx, .gif, .jpg, .pdf, .txt, and many more. You can upload the document on your home computer, and then access it from your laptop or office computer... all from within your FltPlan.com account.

What makes this feature even more powerful, is the ability to share these documents across multiple user accounts by using our shared account feature. Any accounts that have been set up for sharing NavLogs and Weather (see previous FltBrief: http://flttrack.fltplan.com/fltbrief/March2012/fltbriefvol1.htm#2) will now be able to share documents. Utilizing this capability, one pilot can allow other specifically authorized FltPlan.com users to view their documents. For instance, a scheduler or dispatcher could upload a document to their account, and any other authorized account would automatically have access to this information.
To use this feature, look for the Document link at the bottom left-hand side of the Main Menu page.

New! Weight & Balance Video Tutorial
FltPlan.com continues to add more aircraft to our Weight & Balance program. And we have a new video tutorial to show you exactly how to enter your data. We now have over 135 various makes and models in our database. This list currently includes 20 turboprop aircraft, and we are now adding jets. Use the Wt. & Bal. link on the left side of the Main Menu to access this feature.
